Nick Mooijekind
Nick stood out early on by going that extra mile. What started as an internship quickly grew into a permanent role in the video and studio team. He keeps the studio running, makes sure the cameras work and ensures the client doesn't have to worry about anything technical. With his talent for 3D animation and ability to grind through tougher edits for hours on end, Nick is an indispensable quiet force in the Astrolads team.

About Nick
When Nick became part of the student media team, he stood out quickly. He went the extra mile, often set the mood within the group, and from his experience, both in study and in his free time, could already help out with Astrolads edits. When his time on the student media team came to an end, he was quickly back at the door for an internship at Astrolads.
Here too, Nick grew alongside the team rapidly. From substantive aftermovies to short reels, Nick doesn't shy away from any edit challenge and always tries to put his stamp on the productions. So alongside his internship, he soon also started part-time as Media Maker Video. He's now often found on shoot days as second cameraman and works with Joey in the video team to put together full edits.
Beyond his video work, Nick can often be found behind the studio knobs as Media Maker Studio/Podcasts. From technically supervising webinars to recording podcasts to a tight standard, Nick makes sure the lights are right, the mics capture sound clearly and the cameras keep rolling. So while he's often behind the scenes, Nick is a quiet driving force in the team!
And when work is done and the iMacs are switched off, the tone can be set. Astrolads never has to worry about Friday afternoon drinks not happening with Nick around, he'll happily go grab the drinks and invite everyone to stick around a bit longer!
Outside Astrolads
Nick was practically born with a keyboard in his hand. He's been editing, cutting and animating since he was young. What started as a Lego and stop-motion hobby grew into fully animating his own Lego films, complete with 3D renders, voice-overs and sound effects.
And when the computer needs to render for 40 hours straight to pull off the latest Lego scene, you'll find Nick with a big grin at his local pub with friends, or at another fun terrace in town.
