Luuk started as an intern, but quickly grew into one of the driving forces behind Astrolads. From campaigns and numbers to team management, Luuk doesn't shy away from any challenge. In fact, he actively seeks them out! With a sharp eye for growth and innovation, he keeps pushing the organisation forward. A huge asset to the team — and one who's nowhere near finished developing yet!

About Luuk

Luuk started in 2021 as a business administration intern at Astrolads, but quickly discovered that he found practice much more fun (and educational) than theory. With 3 years of knowledge under his belt, he stopped his studies and started as Astrolads' very first full-timer in the role of Student Manager. Together with Jelle and Dave he supervised several groups of student media teams. Including the teams that Joey, Kylian and Bas took part in.

Driven by his love for statistics, numbers and cash flow, Luuk quickly took on more responsibility and started working as Project Owner Advertising. In this role, he sets up complete social media campaigns and provides clients with comprehensive reports and advice based on numbers. Luuk also started working as a finance officer back then, which has since grown into being Finance Manager. In this role, Luuk holds final responsibility for the cash flow and financial health of the organisation.

In 2025, the organisation was crying out for more overview and planning. Luuk picked up that role flawlessly, shaping the position of Team Manager. Within this role, Luuk makes sure deadlines are met, workload is fairly distributed and quality is safeguarded.

So is Luuk finally settled and content within the organisation? Never! He's now leading the development of the AI branch. What can Artificial Intelligence mean for our clients and how can we take that off their hands? An indispensable link in this era, which Luuk is fully exploring.

Outside Astrolads

Luuk's lucky number? 010! As a proud Rotterdammer, Luuk doesn't miss a single Feyenoord match and can be found around (or in) the fountain after pretty much every win. Born and raised in Rotterdam, Luuk is always somewhere in the city (except when he's working, of course).

When the workday is over, Luuk likes to throw a few darts with friends, keep an eye on the stock market, or hit the terrace whenever possible. In short: a man who enjoys life, takes his career seriously, and uses the hours that fall outside of work to truly enjoy himself.
