The names Jelle & Dave are almost always mentioned in the same breath. A friendship that grew from a shared passion for creating together. First through music, video series and organising events. Then by starting and building Astrolads together. A place that aims to make a valuable contribution to social progress and the development of creative talent. An inexhaustible entrepreneurial duo, both in energy and ideas. And… still best friends!

About Dave

Where he was once labelled AD(H)D and someone with an excessive need for stimulation and renewal, Dave now uses those traits as his greatest strength. With endless energy, disarming humour and a strong drive for progress, Dave makes sure every project moves forward and that everyone involved also experiences the appreciation and enjoyment that meaningful work brings. From a service-oriented and pragmatic mindset, Dave gets energy from thinking along with complex issues and taking on the most relieving role within them. By always keeping one foot in the target audience's world and one foot in the client's bubble, the right knowledge is translated in the most effective way to where it has impact.

Within Astrolads, Dave is mainly active for clients as a Communications Advisor. From this role he helps organisations with sharp strategies to optimise internal and external communication, turn knowledge into momentum, and link this to practical resources. When it comes to managing Astrolads, Dave focuses via HR & Operations on creating an inspiring working atmosphere where self-development is central, both in the physical space and with the people. From development conversations with the team to renovation projects, and from recruitment to quality management… Dave gets energy from creating (and maintaining) a place where everyone feels at home, can excel personally, and where life enjoyment and a sense of value are central. Besides all this, Dave is also a presentation talent. From live stage to videos and podcasts… Dave brings lightness where things get heavy, and makes the practical translation from complexity.

Outside Astrolads

Dave is happiest when actively busy, both physically and mentally. Outside Astrolads this mainly takes shape in his comedy duo Joey & Dave. Together with his brother he reached the final of Cameretten in 2022, and since then he tours the country with their own full-length theatre programmes.

And how does someone who prefers to always be busy actually relax? By running 42.2 kilometres for fun! With his third marathon already on the calendar, Dave has discovered in running a passion he draws energy from and can really 'nerd out' on.

And when Dave does give himself a moment to sit down, he prefers to do it playing board games or with a book in hand.
